(24News) Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has expressed regret over the court remarks of failure in smog control.
In her statement, Maryam Aurangzeb said that the absence of Advocate General Punjab does not mean a failure in smog control, it is respect for the judge, but since 8 months, the institutions of the Punjab government have been working to eliminate smog.
He said that the Advocate General Punjab will inform the court about the government’s measures tomorrow and the Transport Secretary will also accompany the Advocate General Punjab.
He said that the first comprehensive policy has been given for the reduction of smog and the improvement of the environment.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that a modern digital system of fitness certificates of small and big vehicles has been started in Punjab, where the court points out, they will bring more improvements, they never said that everything has been done, the problem of smog has to be solved together.
It should be noted that the Lahore High Court had a hearing on the petitions for the remedy of smog today and the High Court had expressed dissatisfaction over the government’s measures to remedy the smog.
