The judge of the National Court Santiago Pedraz issued an order this Monday in which he agreed, prior to the temporary suspension of the resources associated with Telegram, to request a report from the General Information Commissioner’s Office on this instant messaging platform. The magistrate requests information about its characteristics, as well as the impact that the temporary suspension that was agreed upon in an order last Friday and whose execution remains suspended, may have on users. Subsequently, Pedraz has notified another resolution, in the form of an order, in which he has annulled the precautionary blocking order of Telegram, considering that it would be an excessive and not proportional measure.
