King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan visited the Padma Bridge.

On Wednesday (March 27), Padma Bridge Project Executive Engineer Rajab Ali told the media that the King’s convoy of Bhutan entered the Padma Bridge at 9:10 am today through the Mawa end of Munshiganj. After spending some time getting down on the middle bridge, he reached the Jazira end of Shariatpur at 9:30 am.

After that, the convoy returned to Mawa after crossing the 6.15 km long bridge in just 5 minutes on the return journey.

The executive engineer said that the bridge authorities and local administration welcomed them when they reached the service area-2 of King Mawa Bridge of Bhutan. Shafiqul Islam, project director, briefed about the bridge there.

After leaving for Jazeera, Raja stopped the car near pier number 18 in the middle of the bridge and got down. He stayed there for 10 minutes and enjoyed the form of Padma walking in the spring sunshine.
