BOLZANO. “Create value for us, for our territory, for the environment, for our communities, for people and for companies. In the awareness that the mountains must be protected and need man. Anyone who would like to stop skiing risks causing enormous damage; we can’t let this happen because when we realize the damage it will be too late.” He said this Valeria Ghezzipresident of Anef – National Association of Cable Car Operators, which represents around 90% of cable car companies – during the General Assembly held today in Bolzano, presented by Minister Daniela Santanchè.
The appointment was characterized by an invitation to dialogue with all stakeholders, with the desire to discuss, without fear, all issues, even the most critical, starting however from facts and numbers. For this reason Anef commissioned the independent organization PwC Italia to carry out research, widely illustrated in the Assembly, on “The socio-economic impact of the plants of recovery at the local level”.
“We reiterate our role as the engine of the mountain economy – underlined Ghezzi – and as a safeguard for the protection of the ‘high lands’. And we wish to encourage all the other actors in the mountain system to get involved with us”.
