Almost exactly ten years ago the first aspiring doctors began their studies in Linz.On September 24, the JKU Faculty of Medicine will celebrate its first “circular birthday” with a big party at the Med Campus (krankenhausstrasse 5) in Linz. Numerous program items are planned.
In the JKU medSPACE in the laboratory building, the conference program begins at 2 pm with a premiere: for the first time, the interactive 3D anatomy lecture in the anatomy classroom of the Medical University of Graz will also be broadcast at the same time. Linz faculty collaborate closely. From 3pm to 5.30pm 3D images of the heart and brain of patients who will then undergo live surgery will be shown. From 6pm to 7pm the “Anatomy for Everyone” show will take you on a fascinating journey inside the body.
The researchers show their work
From 1pm to 6pm visitors to the “Open House” can closely observe the researchers at work in the laboratory building.At the same time, an exhibition on the theme “Highlights of University Medicine” with virtual reality glasses and 3D printers will be held in the teaching building.
In the campus square, ROKO, the Red cross mascot, playfully practices first aid with children aged four and up. The street food market offers delicacies from all over the world.
