Four and a half months ago, an anonymous plaintiff filed a class action lawsuit against Yael Bar Zohar, Shi Mika and the “Shaashni Isha” association, for a total of NIS 2.5 million following the well-known Nida storm. As is known, the interview conducted by Bar Zohar with Shai Mika was not authentic and it was not reported that it was marketing content, contrary to the law. In the lawsuit, the plaintiff did not specify any damage she suffered, but demanded NIS 300 in compensation and NIS 2.5 million as part of the class action.

In recent months, the parties have conducted a court proceeding, but now the representative plaintiff who has been leading the lawsuit until now has requested to replace her lawsuit with another plaintiff, who was also exposed to the marketing content. The request was accepted by the judge who demanded that the parties, as part of the plaintiff’s exchange, meet in mediation before continuing the legal treatment in court. A normal procedure that takes place at the beginning of each sentence.

The association “Shaishani Isha” reported: “We reject the vexatious, trending and unnecessary request, which constitutes an injury to women in particular and to democracy in general, with disgust. It is evident that this is a lawsuit whose entire purpose is to create self-publicity, silencing and intimidation, against the values of Judaism, which are in no way ‘religious only’ but belong to all of us, man and woman according to their personal choice. It cannot be treated as a misleading consumer association, while it operates without the intention of profit, does not sell anything, and all its activities and intentions concern values.”
