The Minister of Oil discusses ways to expand cooperation horizons with Azerbaijan »

Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Cengizoglu Japarov, discussed, on Monday, ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand the horizons of cooperation between the two countries.

The ministry said in a statement, received by the (INA): “Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani received today the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Cengizoglu Japarov, and the head of the Azerbaijan Oil Company, Mr. Roshan Najaf, and his accompanying delegation,” indicating “The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs, Bassem Muhammad Khudair, the Director General of the Petroleum Contracts and Licensing Department, and the Director of the Minister’s Office.”
She added, “During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand the horizons of cooperation between the two friendly countries in the oil and energy sector.”
According to the statement, Abdul Ghani gave a briefing on the plans of the government and the ministry to develop the oil industry and gas investment, through oil and gas licensing rounds. He also welcomed Azerbaijani companies to participate in the investment opportunities in the oil sector and the projects announced by the ministry.
For his part, the guest minister expressed “the desire of his country and the oil companies to implement joint projects in the oil and gas sector, in a way that enhances the opportunities for bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.”
