Today, Sunday, President Abdel Latif Gamal Rashid stressed the importance of coordination and consultation to enhance security and stability in the region.
The Presidency’s Media Office stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Maurizio Cricanti.”
The President of the Republic stressed, “during the meeting, the strength of the relations between Iraq and Italy, and the need to continue working to strengthen them in areas of common interest.”
He pointed out “the importance of coordination and consultation to enhance security and stability in the region, and to make more efforts to reduce tensions and stop the war on Gaza.”
For his part, Ambassador Maurizio Cricanti expressed “his country’s keenness to strengthen existing relations with Iraq, and Italy’s support for Iraq’s stability, security, and safety of its citizens.”
