The Ministry of Defense in Syria announces the start of including armed factions under its umbrella

The Ministry of Defense in the Syrian Interim Administration announced the start of organizational sessions with the leaders of the armed opposition factions to include them in the Ministry of Defense.

The Syrian news agency “SANA” said: “The Syrian Ministry of Defense begins holding organizational sessions with the military leaders to begin the process of integrating the factions into the Ministry of Defense.”

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian administration, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, confirmed that “the next government in Syria will include holding elections, and that the Ministry of Defense will dissolve all armed factions.”

He added: “The Ministry of Defense in the transitional government will dissolve these factions, and there will be no weapons outside the authority of the Syrian state.”

Al-Sharaa called on “the governments of the world to remove “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” from terrorist lists and remove all restrictions “so that Syria can rebuild.”

A fifth Saudi relief plane launches for Syria

The fifth Saudi relief plane departed from King Khalid Airport in Riyadh today, Saturday, heading to Syria, as part of an air bridge operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.

According to the Saudi News Agency “SPA”, “The plane heading to Damascus International Airport carries food, medical and shelter aid, to contribute to alleviating the effects of the difficult conditions that the Syrian people are currently going through.”

Yesterday, Friday, “the fourth Saudi relief plane arrived in Damascus, carrying food and medical aid with a total weight of 27 tons. Thus, the total Saudi aid to Syria exceeded more than 100 tons within 3 days.”

Earlier, the King Salman Relief Center announced that “it will run a land bridge to Jordanian territory towards Syria, and that it will transport heavy medical equipment.”
