In Moscow, they detained Alexander Mavridi – the alleged killer of the “sausage king” Vladimir Marugov, the fifth and last one who escaped from the temporary detention center in Istra, TASS reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The ministry noted that during the arrest, Mavridi, who escaped from the Istra temporary detention center, tried to resist. No other details are provided.

The escape took place on August 6 from a temporary detention facility in the town of Istra near Moscow. Four out of five escaped criminals were arrested during August.

Until October 5, two employees of the IVS were arrested. Acting head of the local ITT, Andrei Starshinov, in the case of the escape of five prisoners, the court ruled a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions. The case was initiated for abuse of office (clause “c”, part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to the investigation, one of the IVS officers on the day of the escape deliberately turned off the security cameras, together with the second officer on duty, he also opened the doors of the cells for the transfer of food, after which both went to bed.
