A few weeks ago at the Tripostal art gallery in Lille, France, the clothes (signed by big names in fashion such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Moschino) of one of the style icons of the nineties were exhibited: Francesca Cacace , character – played by actress Fran Drescher – protagonist of the beloved series “The Nanny”, the door-to-door cosmetics salesman who from one day to the next finds herself nanny to the three children of Broadway impresario Maxwell Sheffield . The sitcom, conceived by Drescher herself and her then husband Peter Marc Jacobson, aired in the United States from 1993 to 1999. That’s what all the protagonists do today.
