The 75th season of the Formula 1 World Auto Racing Championship starts today in Sakhir (Bahrain), Day.Az reports.
The three-day tests in Bahrain went quite calmly. Experts agree that in the upcoming season Red Bull and its leader Max Verstappen will once again have no equal.
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc and Spaniard Carlos Sainz Jr. were able to show the best results in the test summary table, but this was achieved on the softest sets of tires. Last season, Sainz was the only one who could win, besides Verstappen and Perez. Mercedes, with Hamilton and Russell, is also at a comparable level to Ferrari.
The starting season will feature six stages with sprint races (100 km race). At the end of the sprint, the first eight pilots receive points: the winner will earn eight points, and the eighth-place finisher will earn one. Sprint races will be held at stages in China, Miami (May 3-5), Austria (June 28-30), USA (October 18-20), Brazil (November 1-3) and Qatar (November 29 – December 1). The championship will end in Abu Dhabi (December 6-8).
