Berlin – For years, the state of Brandenburg has had an increasingly massive problem with skilled workers, which is already being compensated for to a large extent by foreign workers. Their number has doubled since 2016. This is the result of figures from the Employment Agency, and this is also evident in the case of the US car manufacturer Tesla in Grünheide in eastern Brandenburg. In the long term, around a third of the workforce there will probably come from the nearby neighboring country of Poland. Brandenburg’s Economics Minister Jörg Steinbach (SPD) assumes this. He gave this number in an interview at the end of November.
