Police region Bergslagen has approximately 2,200 employees. The region consists of three police areas; Örebro, Värmland and Dalarna, three regional units and an office that reports directly to the regional police chief.

The border police section is located within the operational unit at the regional level. The section’s border police groups are located in Dalarnas, Värmland and Örebro counties and currently consist of approximately 60 employees divided into five groups. There are both police and civilian competences in the area of ​​immigration law in the section and the majority of employees have a specialist competence in which they are unique.

The border police section is in an expansive phase and there are currently several recruitments for various functions.

We collaborate with other units within the police, such as the Intervention Unit, the Traffic Police Section, the Human Trafficking Group and investigation groups at local and regional level, which means great opportunity for individual skill development. The border police also cooperates with other authorities such as the Swedish Migration Agency and the Norwegian Prison Service regarding enforcement work

Job description

The administrative officer we are looking for will have an investigative/administrative main task. The internal operations are looking for administrators who will primarily work with one or more of the following:

  • Handling of enforcement cases regarding rejection/deportation decisions made by; the Swedish Migration Agency, general court or the police authority
  • Internal reconnaissance to find those who are wanted and avoiding enforcement
  • Border control at airports and ports

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Academic degree, police degree or other education in combination with work experience that the employer finds equivalent
  • Experience of investigation from public activities
  • Driving licence B
  • It is advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience of working with immigration legislation
