Speech Jacques Ayadji

“Dear Amazons of Moele-Benin, this celebration for many of us, we did not want it to take place because we have not yet taken stock of our recent participation in the legislative elections of 2023. We We are right not to want to go out without making this assessment, but there are appointments that we do not miss. Is it because we have not yet taken stock that Muslims will refuse to start Ramadan or that Catholic Christians a few weeks ago did not start their Lent? No ! But we had done our part by succeeding at least in the Amazons at headquarters so as not to break this chain because Moele-Benin has gotten into the habit of organizing this day since 2018. We are going to celebrate it by reflecting. We were in the elections and more than 56,000 Beninese trusted us even though we went to these elections with bare hands. I would first like to congratulate you for this first participation in the 2023 elections. Congratulate us because contrary to what many Beninese may think, Moele-Benin in its march did not fail, Moele-Benin won these elections because that yesterday it was rumored everywhere that we weren’t able to get our Cena nomination papers through. And this happened twice: in 2019 and in 2020. Today, no one can say that Moele-Benin cannot participate in the elections. And that is a victory and you should congratulate yourself on it. Congratulate you because it is not easy to mobilize activists in our country. And all that we say in the country is hypocrisy, because the Beninese democracy which was put on the baptismal font in 1990 had only five years of life: from 1990 to 1995. of 1995, we started by killing this democracy because killing Beninese democracy is killing militancy. There are no more activists in Benin and not saying so is not wanting things to change in Benin. We would have to think about what to do and if it’s good for us, we continue. In Benin, if you have money, you buy votes. We make plutocracy and the country does not advance like that. I would therefore like to entrust a mission to women because if this does not change, our country has a dark future. To conquer power you need to have militants and the militants of political parties are not only the founding members. You women, we are born through you and we must start by keeping activists in your womb. From today, when a woman becomes pregnant, she must pray to beget a militant because our country is looking for militants, people who against all odds follow their ideals. Give us militants. I am thus addressing all the women of Benin. We cannot want to put ourselves at the service of the populations, and give them money for that. If you do, you are crooks. You want money for personal use.

I would particularly like to salute the arrondissement of Aklakpa because if all the 546 arrondissements had had the performance of what we had in Aklakpa, the 109 deputies of the Assembly would all be from Moele-Benin. Then, the district of Gbaffo. I would like to end with the locality of Oké Owo. There we scratched. If we take only the votes of Aklakpa, Gbaffo and Oke-Owo, we would not have had the 56,000 votes so all the other districts and communes have contributed to what we have had this performance, which makes honest Beninese respect Moele -Benin and keep saying that the future is here because we did not buy the 56,000 votes. The best is yet to come and we are going to prepare ourselves so that 2026 is better than 2023, so that 2031 is better than 2026 and that in fine the objective of Moel-Benin is achieved because the key to success is not talent is perseverance. Moele-Benin will persevere and we will continue until the goal is achieved.

Happy birthday to you dear Amazons”.
