The president of La Rioja inaugurated this Friday morning the first technological congress ‘Ezcaray: Tech for future’. Gonzalo Capellán highlighted in his speech “digitalization and technology as the engine of the future of the rural world and small municipalities”, defining them as “a development lever for the future and key elements for territorial structuring”.
During the event, Capellán was accompanied by the mayor of Ezcaray, Diego Bengoa, the minister of Economy, Innovation, Enterprise and Self-Employment, Belinda León, and the dean of the College of Industrial Engineers of Aragón and La Rioja , Salvador Galvé.
«Digitalisation and technologies have the challenge of serving the transformation of agricultural and livestock activity in Europe, in Spain and La Rioja, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship and the activation of the rural world, the settlement of the population and the better quality of life for people living in any of our municipalities”, underlined Capellán.
The head of the Rioja government made this known even to depopulation and showed himself willing to work “on all lines” that could favor “the general objective of the population of the municipalities”.
