The Prime Minister chairs the fourth meeting of the Supreme Youth Council and issues several directives

Today, Sunday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired the fourth meeting of the Supreme Youth Council, while issuing several directives.

The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the (INA): “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired today the fourth meeting of the Supreme Youth Council, in which a number of youth issues and topics were discussed, and the necessary decisions were taken in their regard.”

He added: “The Council considered the topics on the agenda, and approved the (Industry of the Future) project, which aims to bring together the youth of Iraq, including the youth of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, within seasonal activities, to enhance their skills and inform them of the opportunities and challenges they face in the future. And build bridges of communication between them.”

He continued, “The engineering plan for the youth camp, presented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was approved, which can accommodate 500 young men and women, and which is proposed to be established in Baghdad within the land allocated for the Tajiyat Stadium,” noting that “it was decided during the meeting that the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities would adopt master’s theses.” And distinguished doctoral theses for young postgraduate students, related to the ministry’s jurisdiction, and their application on the ground.”

He pointed out that “it was also decided that the Ministry of Culture would grant licenses to practice a profession, with regard to tourist facilities, such as opening tourist offices, cafes, restaurants, and others, to young people under the age of 35, in exchange for wages supported by a discount proposed by the Board of Directors of the Tourism Groups Department of the Tourism Authority.” In the Ministry above, the discount will be from 25-50%.

In the field of keeping pace with modern technological developments, the statement explained, “It was decided to establish robotics and artificial intelligence clubs, within the forums affiliated with the youth and sports directorates in Baghdad, with one club in each directorate, relying on specialized trainers from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, or from government agencies.” The other, provided that the Baghdad Governorate is responsible for equipping the clubs with all requirements, and the clubs will be managed by the Office of the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Scientific and Academic Affairs and Artificial Intelligence Applications, in cooperation with the Baghdad Governorate, and under the supervision and follow-up of the Supreme Council for Youth.

He stated, “The meeting witnessed the approval of the standards and conditions for the Creativity Medal for young innovators, in accordance with the introductory guide prepared by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which is an important honor that contributes to supporting creative youth and motivating them to continue their creative path.”

He stated, “With the aim of caring for and supporting young people of determination, and extending links with them, the Council approved the launch of the electronic form for the National Team for People with Special Needs, which includes 1,000 active and distinguished young women and men with special needs.”

During the meeting, Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, “the necessity of finding channels and mechanisms to create harmony and communication between young people from different governorates and regions of Iraq.”

He directed to “launch initiatives related to young businessmen and investors, and he also directed ministers and advisors to follow up, sponsor and attend activities and events held by young people in the various governorates of Iraq.”
