Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani directed the Tax Reform Committee to write a draft law for the sales tax, while the Tax Reform Committee confirmed that there had been many changes affecting general managers.
The head of the committee, advisor to the Prime Minister, Abdul Hussein Al-Anbaki, told the (INA): “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani directed the writing of a draft law for the sales tax, as we will cooperate with international organizations and international experts to write the draft very soon,” indicating that “the Tax Reform Committee “I investigated matters in institutional building by replacing many obstructive department managers.”
He added, “We are trying to create transparency, and we have a call for large companies in the field of automation to go to a comprehensive and automated tax system,” pointing out, “We have included new segments in taxes and are moving towards improving the tax performance environment in terms of departments.”
He stressed, “Work is continuing on a lot of legislation, and we are continuing to work on it,” explaining, “The process is not easy, but rather involves significant obstruction by those who obstruct reform in general.”
