The Prime Minister stresses the necessity of completing the eligibility for choosing a Speaker of the House of Representatives

Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed the necessity of completing all constitutional entitlements and deciding on the selection of a speaker for the House of Representatives, stressing his support for all efforts aimed at completing this important entitlement.

The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the (INA): “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani received a delegation from the Azm Alliance headed by Muthanna Abdul Samad al-Samarrai.”
He added, “During the meeting, many files were discussed at the national and regional levels, and the need for all political forces to come together in supporting the government and achieving the requirements of its executive program with regard to serving citizens was emphasized, which will be reflected in strengthening their confidence in their government and the political system.”
The Prime Minister stressed – according to the statement – “the necessity of completing all constitutional entitlements, foremost of which is working to resolve the selection of a speaker for the House of Representatives, due to the importance this position represents at the national and legislative levels, stressing his support for all efforts aimed at completing this important entitlement.”
The Prime Minister explained that “the positions of Iraqis, with their various orientations, regarding the aggression against Gaza and Lebanon are identical, and that the government has expressed Iraq’s official positions regarding this aggression, which represent the opinions of the national political forces, religious authorities, and constitutional authorities, and these positions take into account the national interest,” indicating “support.” Political, media and humanitarian support for our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon, which is consistent with Iraq’s pioneering and pivotal role in the region.”
