The Ministry of Oil announced today, Friday, that the completion rate of designs for the gas development project in the Artawi field has reached 100%.
The technical assistant to the South Gas Company and the project manager, Majid Muhammad Al-Shawalif, said in a statement received by the (INA): “The other stage after the designs is the stage of establishing the project on the ground, which is divided into multiple stages, including the stage of precise engineering details, which includes equipment from pumps.” And compressors, etc.,” pointing out that “engineering designs do not give all the details of that equipment in a detailed manner, and that is why all the precise details of the equipment must be given to a specialized company that carries out the purchasing and processing process in the best way, and then moves to the process of preparing the equipment from the manufacturing source to the construction site, and then begins the work.” Implementation, which includes civil, mechanical, electrical, and other works.”
Al-Shawaf added, “All these steps are subject to certificates, signatures, and follow-up by the South Gas Company, and so on, moving from one stage to another until reaching the inauguration or trial operation stage,” explaining that “after the fully completed designs stage comes the stage of preparing (Al-Tandar), which I have launched and are currently in the process of purchasing referrals for the purchase of (governing) equipment for the work of the project, including the electrical power generators operating the project and other equipment such as control units and what is related to them.”
