(24 News) Elmer “Dr” Dyer started his famous burger restaurant in Memphis in 1912, he had a secret spice blend that gave his burgers a great taste.
The report said that one night the cook forgot to change the oil in the frying pan and surprisingly, the burgers tasted even better to the customers.
Dyer Burger Restaurant claims to still use the same oil 100 years later, and customers absolutely love our burgers.

Kendall Robertson, a member of the restaurant staff, claimed that since 1912, we have been using the same oil. He said that we remove the particles from this oil and purify it and then add spices to it.
The report said that at Dierburger restaurant, kebab balls are first made and flattened with the help of a mallet hammer. They are then cooked in a large iron pan filled with the restaurant’s famous oil. So most people order two or three at a time because one is not enough.
People are also aware that this restaurant is using old oil to make burgers and customers do not stop eating burgers even knowing this fact.
Long-term use of the same broth or fat is nothing new. A Thai restaurant has been using the same oil for noodles for 50 years. Another old Japanese noodle restaurant, Otafuku, has been serving the same broth since 1945.
