The Chairman of the Administrative Oversight Authority, Abdullah Qadirbuh, discussed with a number of members of the House of Representatives; The most prominent findings and recommendations contained in the annual report for the year 2023, regarding the performance of the entities subject to the Authority’s oversight of their assigned tasks.
During the meeting, Qadirbuh reviewed the basic points of the report, highlighting the issues that require urgent improvements, and the challenges facing some government institutions while performing their work tasks.
Qaderbuh also stressed the importance of strengthening trust between the Commission and the House of Representatives to ensure achieving a higher level of disclosure, transparency and legal accountability.
According to the Administrative Oversight Authority’s statement, members of the House of Representatives have expressed their willingness to take into account the recommendations contained therein and take vigorous measures regarding them.
In early October, the Administrative Control Authority announced the issuance of its report for the year 2023, during which it confirmed that public spending from 2012 to 2023 had reached more than 722 billion dinars.
The Administrative Control Authority added in its report that the total public expenditures from 2012 to 2022 amounted to more than 648 billion dinars, noting that the total public debt during the past 3 years amounted to more than 84 billion dinars, and that the total public debt of the parallel government from 2015 to 2020 amounted to 69 billion and 956. One million dinars.
