The Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges (DSE-CSE) ended the first business day of the week on Tuesday (September 24) with indices rising. On this day, DSE and CSE saw an increase in transaction volume compared to the previous working day. However, the share prices of most of the companies and mutual fund units traded in both the stock markets fell.

According to DSE and CSE sources, at the end of the day, the main index of DSE DSEX increased by 17.56 points from the previous day at 5 thousand 777 points. The DSE Shariah index rose 14.30 points to 1,288 points and the DS30 index rose 12.48 points to 2,109 points.

A total of 395 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 93 companies increased, 262 decreased and 40 remained unchanged.

A total of 718 crore 63 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE on this day. Shares and units worth Tk 674 crore 38 lakh were traded on the previous working day.

On the other hand, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX index is down 2.64 points at 9771 points. Overall index CASPI decreased by 10.92 points to 16 thousand 175 points, Sharia index increased by 3.78 points to 1 thousand 49 points and CSE30 index increased by 8.23 ​​points to 12 thousand 939 points.

Shares and units of 242 companies were traded on CSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 69 companies increased, 148 decreased and 25 remained unchanged.

At the end of the day, shares and units of Tk 12 crore 3 lakh were traded in CSE. Shares and units of Tk 11 crore 17 lakh were traded on the previous working day.
