The third working day of the week on Tuesday (October 22) ended with gains in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) indices. On this day, both the stock exchanges saw a slight increase in the volume of transactions compared to the previous working day. At the same time, the share prices of most companies and mutual funds traded on DSE and CSE rose.

Meanwhile, like Monday, the investors made a human chain in Motijheel on Tuesday to protest against the continuous price fall in the capital market and to protect the investors’ capital.

According to DSE and CSE sources, at the end of the day, the main index of DSE DSEX increased by 68.66 points from the previous day and stood at 5 thousand 241 points. The DSE Shariah index increased by 17.03 points to 1,174 points and the DS30 index increased by 20.54 points to 1,926 points.

A total of 397 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 306 companies increased, 55 decreased and 34 remained unchanged.

A total of Tk 358 crore 22 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE today. Shares and units worth Tk 344 crore 77 lakh were traded on the previous working day.

On the other hand, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX index is down 66.49 points to 8 thousand 898 points. Overall index CASPI decreased by 109.98 points to 14 thousand 623 points, Sharia index decreased by 6.28 points to 946 points and CSE 30 index decreased by 55.22 points to 12 thousand 52 points.

Shares and units of 198 companies were traded on CSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 127 companies increased, 46 decreased and 25 remained unchanged.

At the end of the day, shares and units worth Tk 13 crore 76 lakh were traded in CSE. Shares and units worth Tk 5 crore 97 lakh were traded on the previous working day.
