Berlin – The street Unter den Linden in Mitte is becoming a major construction site. Preparations have begun, but drivers have not noticed much of it so far. But that should change in a few days. So that the construction workers can go to work, it is planned to restrict the traffic area from next week on. The BVG Projekt GmbH, which is in charge of the construction project in Mitte, announced this on request. The lanes will be blocked on one side, it said. “The planning for traffic management during the construction period provides for one lane for bus and individual traffic as well as one lane for cyclists in each direction,” said spokeswoman Annekatrin Rolef. According to the current status, the traffic restrictions should apply from next Monday.
