Pía Arratia is a 42-year-old officer who spent half her life in the Army before retiring with the rank of Major.
He comes from a family where both his parents, his uncles and his sister are also officers. “I come from a military family, we are like a dynasty. For me this is a lifestyle”he stated.
She also made sporadic appearances on television shows in a military role. However, this time she was chosen to take on a more leading role, becoming the Commander in charge of Word of Honor participants.
“I am going to bring order to the reality show, because that is what I did for 21 years in the Army: instill discipline, esprit de corps, camaraderie and make them better people. I am going to put those who are off the rails back on track, and they know what they are coming for, that there is going to be a lot of physical activity, a lot of order, that they are going to make their beds and the schedules are going to be followed,” Arratia stated.
“This is not like being on the beach, it is a military academy. I’m going to be very tough and, as Commander, you’re going to have to fear me,” she said.
Pía Arratia will not be alone in her work in the new reality television space on Channel 13, since she will be accompanied by a well-known television figure: Botota Fox, former participant of Tierra Brava and ¿Ganar o Serir?, who this time will rise through the ranks and become the Sergeant Fox.
“In previous reality shows I always supported all the activities, so they gave me this opportunity. For me this is the ideal problem, because I enjoy reality TV but I still have access to my phone, I can go out, live somewhere else, rest well, and my batteries are always recharged,” said the transformer.
In the new reality show, Botota’s job will be to help the recruits with their tasks: “I have service in my veins, I like to serve people. More than being a Sergeant, I am going to be like another participant, who comes and goes, because I know what it feels like to be locked up, I was locked up for six months in two programs. That’s why I’m going to arrive in the morning to wake them up, encourage them, get them up, help them make their beds, guide them.”
“I always wanted to do military service, I loved that vibe. I had to take it off because at that time I was working as a cleaner to support my mother. But my grandfather was a police officer and the uniforms always caught my attention. In fact, at 16 I wanted to be a sailor, but they told me no, because I was going to just see men,” the comedian said with a laugh.
