The Sovereign, he said, presented a prospective vision to sustain future projects included in the water policy by delivering a message of firmness in order to complete current or planned projects within the set deadlines, in addition to promoting the integration of intelligent systems in agriculture and industry, but also in homes, the aim being to rationalize the use of water and cope with the scarcity of rain.

Mr. Malaoui recalled that strengthening awareness and training programs in the management and rational use of water remains an imperative, both at the individual level and at the level of businesses and administrations, recalling the urgency to introduce these themes into school and farmer training programs.

It is also a question of supporting and encouraging scientific, technical research and innovation, as well as retaining researchers in order to develop methods and technologies adapted to the national context and aimed at saving water and energy, particularly in agriculture and wastewater recycling.

The expert also placed emphasis on the continuation of the ambitious project of hydraulic interconnections and transport of drinking water to remote and isolated areas.
