The Senate passed the National Forensic Agency and the Deposit Protection Corporation Amendment Bill

(Usman Khan) The National Forensic Agency Bill and the Deposit Protection Corporation Amendment Bill were unanimously approved by the Senate.

In today’s Senate session, the Senate Standing Committee on Interior presented reports on 3 bills, the bill for the establishment of the National Forensic Agency was presented in the House, the bill was presented by Senator Mian Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Senate Chairman, the National Forensic Agency Bill, the relevant committee. The Senate passed the Deposit Protection Corporation Amendment Bill, presented by the Finance Minister for assent, which was unanimously passed.

On this occasion, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the bill is for strengthening the financial system, the purpose of the bill is to strengthen the banking system.

Besides, the motion to suspend question period in the Senate was approved, the motion was moved by Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the Deposit Protection Corporation Amendment Bill was also unanimously approved in the Senate.

The resolution presented by Senator Sherry Rehman on the successful holding of SCO was also approved in the Senate meeting. Speaking on the resolution, Senator Sherry Rehman said that the conference is a big milestone for Pakistan. It has happened, all countries are confident that they consider Pakistan as a stable country, Pakistan has come out of global isolation by holding this conference, now all the world attention is on Asia, SAARC has been deactivated by India. .

Sherry Rahman further said that Pakistan is now open for business, one door has been opened by the SCO conference and more will be opened, activate the relevant embassies for business and trade in the SCO countries, Pakistan’s momentum should not be reduced now. A report should be submitted after 3 months for implementation of SCO agreements.
