Tirupur, : Under the central government’s ‘Agnipath’ scheme, youth between the ages of 17.5 to 23 years are going to be selected for military service. In this, the selected candidates will be employed for four years only. After that, only 25 percent will be extended into military service. Many companies have come forward to provide career opportunities to others.
In Tamil Nadu, people are selected for this scheme only in two places, Trichy and Tirupur. In Tirupur, a recruitment camp is being held at Palankarai near Avinasi at ‘Tee Public’ school grounds. In this, the date to apply is defined as 3rd August. With only six days left to apply, youngsters are getting more serious. In this case, the officials are conducting a series of consultations at the ‘Tea’ school.
