Already crowned in the individual event on Wednesday, Axelle Gachet-Mollaret scored twice with a new crown, in the vertical race event (a race of 500 m in altitude) won hands down in 21’28”3 . On Wednesday, her husband, Xavier Gachet, had won the small individual globe (a long-distance race with covered climbs and descents in around 1h20). An excellent result in view of the 2026 Olympics in Italy since ski mountaineering will be an official event.

Among the men, the Swiss Remi Bonnet won in 18’11”8 in difficult conditions, with gusts of 70 km/h, also winning the small crystal globe of the vertical race. Third in this event, Thibaut Anselmet scored big points which put him in a very good position to win the large crystal globe which will be awarded on Saturday after the last event of these World Cup finals, the sprint, a spectacular race of three minutes approx. The great French hope of ski mountaineering, is 37 points behind the Italian Michele Boscacci (842 points) which he will have to try to fill with the sprint, a specialty where he is in theory more efficient than the Transalpin.
