The Speaker of the House of Representatives discusses strengthening the role of health institutions in the country

The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, received in the city of Qobba, the Director General of the National Center for Health System Development, Muftah Al-Tawilib, and his accompanying delegation, where the meeting focused on supporting efforts to develop the health sector in the country.

During the meeting, “Al-Tawileb gave a detailed presentation on the founding work of the center, including plans to celebrate the announcement of its founding, and reviewed the center’s vision and strategic goals that aim to achieve health security and comprehensive health coverage. He also stressed the importance of strengthening primary health care programs, which constitute 80 percent of citizens’ needs and are the main line of health care programs.” The first defense in the health system.”

According to WAL Agency, “The meeting discussed the most prominent opportunities and challenges facing the health sector in Libya, as the director of the center presented proposals inspired by successful health experiences in the Arab region.”

For his part, Counselor Aguila Saleh stressed “the importance of supporting the center to achieve its ambitious goals, noting the necessity of involving the center in deliberations and decisions related to developing the health sector.”

Saleh praised “the plans presented, expressing his aspiration to achieve tangible health reforms that contribute to improving the quality of health services for citizens.”

The Speaker of the House of Representatives called for “strengthening the role of health institutions in the country and searching for the best ways to support institutions that provide therapeutic services, stressing the importance of the health sector as a basic pillar for sustainable development and improving the quality of life of citizens.”

This “meeting comes within the framework of national efforts aimed at supporting development projects in various sectors, most notably the health sector, as it is the cornerstone for achieving the well-being of Libyan society.”
