The House of Representatives has included voting on the proposed sports clubs law on the agenda of its session No. (39), which will be held at three o’clock in the afternoon, Wednesday.
The head of the Parliamentary Youth and Sports Committee, Abbas Aliwi, said in a statement to the (INA), that “the club law was included in the agenda of today’s session of the House of Representatives,” indicating that “the law was subjected to a focused study by the Youth and Sports Committee in cooperation with specialists in the matter.” Sports, and a group of sports figures were assigned to coordinate with the Iraqi government, the Club Council, the Journalists Syndicate, and the Sports Journalists Union to discuss the provisions of the law.”
Aliwi expressed his hope that this law would be passed and voted on by members of the House of Representatives, calling on sports leaders to invest in this law and think seriously about developing their work to serve the interests of sports and athletes.
