The trailer for “Alien: Romulus” prepares us for new…

by time news

Even though 45 years have passed since the premiere of the masterpiece “Alien” (Ridley Scott), everything shows that there are still many stories to be told with a hero about the alien monster that nests in the chest of unsuspecting hosts. So, the franchise hopefully reaches seven films with the upcoming one “Alien: Romulus” to be creepily introduced through its first trailer.

Set twenty years after the events of the original film, scientist Rayne Carradine and a group of galactic colonists come face-to-face with the bloodthirsty creature as they explore an abandoned space station. In the lead role is the rising star Kylie Spenny, who we saw give a flawless performance in the recent “Priscilla” (Sofia Coppola). In the distribution of the roles are also involved David Johnson, Archie Reno, Spike Fern and Eileen Wu.

The iconic Scott is producing with the equally imposing James Cameron (“Aliens”) holding an advisory role in the film’s development. The Uruguayan is in the director’s chair Fede Alvarez, who can generally be uneven (“Face of Evil,” “The Girl in the Spider’s Web”), has proven, however, that he knows the vocabulary of horror well (“Don’t Breathe”). Which is evident from the truly chilling trailer for “Alien: Romulus” that you can watch below.

“Alien: Romulus” is expected to be released in Greek cinemas on 15th of August.
