The music video for the song ‘Coti x coti‘, of the killing duet The Tyetsis the most viewed video clip in Catalan of the year on the YouTube platform of all published during 2023, according to Enderrock. The video has exceeded 5 and a half million views, specifically 5,562,100. This 2023, up to five video clips in Catalan have managed to surpass the mark of one million views:The beach‘, by Stay Homas i The Tyets (more than 2 million); ‘The ferris wheel‘, of Stay Homas; ‘I kiss‘, of Figa Flawas i ‘The night is burning‘, of the Calafellencs Pouring. Beyond the Top 5, they are below a million plays: Joan Dausà with ‘Judith‘; Figa Flawas i mules with ‘Devil‘ i Miki Nunez and hisice cream‘.
According to a press release from Enderrock, the 100 video clips in Catalan published in 2023 have added up to a total of 31,342,200 plays; a figure that is the best of the last four years. It also represents a “remarkable step forward” (+51%) compared to 2022. It stands out as the second highest figure since Enderrock started making this ranking in 2017. Only surpassed by the close 58 million views in 2019the year Rosalia published ‘millionaire‘ and blew up the scoreboards with 26 million views. Right now, it already exceeds 42 million.
The artists who have placed more video clips in the Top 100 have been Mushka, Santa Salut and Els Catarres with 6 each, and Figa Flawas with 5. With 3 video clips on the list we find 31 FAM, Baya Baye, Buhos, Els Amics de les Arts, La Fúmiga, Stay Homas and The Tyets; and with 2 video clips for Els Atrapasomnis, Joan Dausà, Joan Miquel Oliver, Julieta, La Ludwig Band, Lildami, Maria Hein, Som Mainada, Triquell and Xavi Sarrià.
Only six music videos for family audience have occupied one of the first hundred positions on the list, compared to the twelve who did so in 2022. This year, we find two video clips from the Som Mainada project, one from Ambauka, two from Els Atrapasomnis, and a clip from ‘a song from the SX3 Beta program.
Valencian Country and the Balearic Islands
The most played Valencian clip was ‘Finals’, by La moth; and the Balearic was ‘Lo que romp es coret’, by the singer-songwriter Maria James.
