Washington is ready to help Ukraine even after a hypothetical Russian invasion of this country. This was stated by Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan in an interview with CBS.
“I won’t go into the details of how this will be done, but it is one of the three key components of our response to continue supporting Ukraine as it struggles to counter Russian aggression,” Sullivan said.
Zelensky called Biden to Ukraine for a “powerful signal”
On February 11, Politico, citing sources in the White House, reported that Moscow could invade Ukraine on February 16. Bloomberg called February 15 a possible date for the start of hostilities. Sullivan himself said that the invasion could happen before the end of the Beijing Olympics. However, the day before, the presidential aide said that the United States did not know the exact date for the start of hostilities.
Moscow denies the possibility of an invasion of Ukraine and calls these statements a provocation. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in turn, said that Kiev is preparing for different scenarios for the development of events, but the main enemy for Ukraine now is panic.
