The University of Oviedo creates a degree in financial advisor

The University of Oviedo and its business school, IUDE, will launch in October an expert degree in financial advice and wealth management. This degree is accredited by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) and has the collaboration of companies such as LA NUEVA ESPAÑA.

These new studies at the University of Oviedo are aimed at first and second cycle university graduates and professionals whose activity is directly related to the specialty of the course, provided that they prove that experience. The number of places is 20 and the selection is carried out based on the academic record and the merits related to the degree.

The objective of the course is the practical analysis of financial asset portfolio management tools and strategies. It will start next month and run until April 2023, lasting 22 weeks. It will be taught at the University Institute of Business (IUDE), located in Oviedo, and is directed by professors from the University of Oviedo Juan Ignacio Muñiz, Matías Marino and Elena Cubillas. The teaching team is made up of professors from the University of Oviedo and other academic institutions such as the Autonomous University of Madrid, and by experts in the field and professionals from collaborating entities such as the BME Institute (Bolsas y Mercados Españoles), Afi Escuela de Finanzas , Unicaja, Santa Lucía, R3 PWM Securities Agency, Renta 4, Houlihan Lokey or LA NUEVA ESPAÑA.

Graduates of this course will specialize to work as financial advisors, financial wealth managers, private banking managers, banking and insurance professionals, stock and financial analysts, and treasury managers of any company. The study plan includes four modules (Fundamentals of Wealth and Portfolio Management, Equity Asset Management, Fixed Income Asset Management and Derivative Financial Asset Management) and a fifth optional external internship.
