The government, through the department in charge of Pre-University Education and Literacy, has just offered substantial envelopes and IT kits (computers and tablets) to the various winners. This is thanks to significant support from partners.
The official presentation ceremony of these awards was held this Monday, October 21, 2024 in Conakry under the aegis of Minister Jean Paul Cédy who had at his side the secretary general of the department, Dr Youssouf Boundou Sylla, numerous technical executives and parents of the winners.
The aim of the initiative is to promote merit and excellence in schools, while placing particular emphasis on keeping young girls in school and their orientation towards scientific disciplines.
On this occasion, the minister congratulated the winners for their hard work while emphasizing the importance of education as a vector of personal and collective development. He further placed special emphasis on the achievements of young girls.
The partners of the event, namely Orange Guinea, Sunu Assurance and UGAR Activa, offered computers, tablets, reading vouchers and financial envelopes to the various winners.
