Thrissur ∙ There is a story in the name of the stage set up at Ram Nilayam for the International Theater Festival (ITFOC). That name is Faz. FAS stands for From Ashes to Open Sky. The hidden drama in the name is that the Faz Theater rises where the knife-ashed Koothambalam stood. In 2011, many corruption dramas were alleged behind the burning of Koothambalam. In any case, theater lovers benefit when the space today becomes a staging ground for international dramas.

A theater is set up for 150 people. The drama festival runs from February 5 to 14. Work has begun on a pavilion that can seat 800 people at the grounds on Palace Road. As part of this, parking has been banned here from today. The work of the venues is under the supervision of famous stage designer and artist Sujathan.
