La Paz, April 28, 2023 (ANF).- María Nicole BS, the 18-year-old girl who managed to obtain a loan for almost Bs 10,000,000 from Banco Fassil, presented seven household appliances as assets to access the million-dollar loan. Justice sent four managers involved in that transaction to jail yesterday.

According to the formal accusation of the Prosecutor’s Office, the young woman agreed to the first loan in December 2021 and presented as assets two televisions, a refrigerator, a kitchen and three air conditioners, all for an approximate value of 5,000 dollars.

Added to that, he also presented a certificate to support that he works in a construction company where he receives a salary that would allow him to pay the loan; however, that work certificate was not signed by the general manager of the construction company.

The Supervisory Authority of the Financial System (ASFI) presented the complaint for financial crimes to the Prosecutor’s Office a few weeks ago. Finally, on Tuesday three managers were apprehended and the next day the fourth was handed over.

Yesterday the hearing for precautionary measures was held and the court ordered the preventive detention of the four executives in the Palmasola prison for a period of three months. The young woman was summoned for this day to give her statement to the Prosecutor’s Office, as a witness.

Banco Fassil was intervened by the Government and the process of transferring debts and credits to other banks began.
