50 thousand 987 people with disabilities have been identified as golden citizens through the Khulna District Social Services Department. Apart from this, issuance of Golden National Identity Card is continuing. In the financial year 2023-24, there are about 29 lakh beneficiaries of disability allowance across the country. The number of beneficiaries in Khulna district is 38 thousand 646 people. One lakh people are covered under education stipend across the country and 727 people are receiving disability education stipend in Khulna district.
