We were very excited about the idea and accepted the challenge.“, reports Valerià Torregrosageneral director of the company, which has its main facilities in Muro de Alcoy and which each year “builds” – according to its own terminology – around 45,000 of these instruments.

The collaboration represents a boost for the firm, especially due to the visibility that it gives to the product. Thus, in addition to the website, the exclusive model for Zara Home can be seen in the windows of the chain’s main stores. As explained by the firm, the new model is named Nature Fir and scrupulously complies with the highest levels of social and environmental sustainability. In order to become part of the list of official Inditex suppliers, the Alicante company has had to overcome a rigorous certification and audit process.

“We have worked against the clock in the adaptation process to the group’s own demands. However, we already had very high quality standards at all levels. We have traditionally been a company with a high degree of environmental awareness and social responsibility. Long before the term Corporate Social Responsibility was coined, this way of understanding business activity was already part of our philosophy and our daily lives,” explains the general director of Alhambra.

The personalized guitar for the Inditex group is mainly made of wood untreated natural spruce coming from Central Europe which, due to its greater proximity to Spain, allows reduce carbon footprint with respect to other potential suppliers located in the United States, Canada or central Africa. In its finish no solvent dyes used and it only uses a much more sustainable type of water-based varnish. Other features worth highlighting are that the fingerboard is built with Indian rosewood – a very hard wood that offers very elegant sound nuances – and that it is delivered with Padded cover and vegan leather shoulder strap.

Along these same lines, the Muro company had already been working, for example, with guitar models made with olive woodto reduce this same carbon footprint, or on other occasions, taking advantage of the exterior part of the ebony, to prevent it from being discarded and make better use of the material.
