America’s Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti says that today one in 10 CEOs of America’s Fortune 500 companies is from India. He said that earlier there was a joke that if you are an Indian, you cannot become a CEO in America. But now the matter has changed. Satya Nadella, Microsoft

Indian-origin Satya Nadella is the CEO and Chairman of the giant tech company Microsoft. Nadella has been the CEO of the company for the last several years and was made the chairman in June, 2021. Under his leadership the company has touched new heights. Nadella was born in Hyderabad, India in the year 1967. After completing his primary education from Hyderabad Public School, he studied Electrical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology in 1988 and then went to America to do MS in Computer Science. He earned an MBA from Booth School of Business, Chicago in 1996.

Sundar Pichai, Google

Sundar Pichai is the CEO of America’s giant tech company Google and its parent company Alphabet. Born in 1972 in Chennai, Sundar Pichai’s original name is Pichai Sundarajan. Pichai received his bachelor’s degree from IIT, Kharagpur. He had won the silver medal in his batch. In America, Sundar studied MS from Stanford University and MBA from Wharton University. Sundar Pichai joined Google in 2004. After this, he continuously climbed the stairs of success and reached the post of CEO.

Arvind Krishna, IBM

Arvind Krishna is the CEO and Chairman of IBM, one of the world’s leading IT companies. Arvind has studied from Dehradun and Kanpur. After studying electrical engineering in 1996, he worked at Google. He was the head of Display and Video Advertising Products. Currently he is the CEO of YouTube.

Nikesh Arora did MBA from Northeastern University of America after doing BSE in Electrical Engineering from IIT Varanasi. He began his career in finance at Fidelity Investments and T-Mobile. He came into limelight as the Chief Marketing Officer of Google. Later he was made Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer in the company. In the year 2018, he was made the CEO of Palo Alto Networks.

Vivek Shankaran, Albertsons

Vivek Shankaran, after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Chennai, received an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Manufacturing from Georgia University of Technology. He joined Albertsons Companies in 2019 as President and CEO. Before that, he had been the President and COO of Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo. He also served in an executive role in PepsiCo. He served as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategy.

Born in 1967 in Pune, Maharashtra, Laxman Narasimhan earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the local College of Engineering. Before joining Starbucks, he was CEO at Reckitt. He has also worked in various positions in PepsiCo. He was also the Global Chief Commercial Officer of the company. Jai Chaudhary, Zscaler

Born in a village in Himachal Pradesh, Jai Chaudhary passed the Executive Management Program from Harvard Business School after doing B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from IIT Varanasi. He also did MBA in Marketing, MS in Computer Engineering and MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Chaudhary founded SecureIT which was purchased by Verisign. Another of his companies, CipherTrust, was purchased by Secure Computing Corporation in 1997. He then formed cybersecurity firm Zscaler.

Ravi Kumar S did MBA from Xavier Institute of Management after doing engineering from Shivaji University. Before joining Cognizant, he was President at Infosys from 2016 to 2022. During this period, he handled the Global Services Division of the company and was also the Chairman of the Board of Infosys BPM Limited.
