For organizing cargo and irregular passenger transportation without a pass certificate, officials are fined in the amount of 300 manats, legal entities – in the amount of 1,200 manats.
The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport said this in response to a request from Day.Az.
“Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs wishing to engage in passenger and freight transportation by road must obtain permission from the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency in accordance with the requirements of the laws “On Road Transport” and “On Licenses and Permits”. In order to ensure registration of legal entities and individuals, carrying out international freight transportation by road and customized domestic transportation (irregular passenger and cargo transportation), the “Carrier” subsystem has been created in the Agency’s information system. The integration of the “Carrier” system with the information systems of the relevant government bodies (institutions) has been ensured and the number of documents has been reduced to a minimum. necessary for the issuance of access certificates and access cards.Currently, registration of legal entities and individuals engaged in the transportation of international and domestic cargo, as well as irregular passenger transportation, is carried out entirely electronically. Permits for domestic custom transportation are issued only electronically and are free,” the statement says.
