IND vs SL ODI Series : The Sri Lankan team has toured India to play T20 and ODI series. The 3-match T20I series ended yesterday, with the Hardik Pandya-led Indian team winning it 2-1. Axar Patel was chosen as the man of the series.
Accordingly, the ODI series between the two teams is scheduled to begin tomorrow (Jan. 10). Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team in this 3-match series. Next, the senior player Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Bumrah and Shami, who have recovered from injury, are set to play in the ODI series again. It is noteworthy that Rohit, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have not been given a chance in T20I yet.

KL Rahul
KL Rahul is unlikely to get a place in the playing eleven if youngster Ishan Kishan is fielding. Also, Suryakumar Yadav is in another peak form. So, Rahul can’t even open as an opener and can’t play in the middle order. So, it is said that he is unlikely to play in this series.

Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav is unlikely to even play a game as Yuzvendra Chahal is very keen to play. While this is unfortunate, such decisions are necessary as we prepare for the 50-over World Cup later this year. Kuldeep Yadav can take wickets but gives away too many runs at times. This, in itself, is a drawback.
Umran Malik
With Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami back in the squad, Umran Malik is also unlikely to play in the series. Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj are his rivals. It was a bit unfortunate to sit out the talented Umran Khan.
