The Neiva Metropolitan Police captured a man accused of aggravated domestic violence in commune 4 of the city.
This action, developed in conjunction with the Criminal Investigation Section (SIJIN) and the Attorney General’s Officeoccurred after an investigation motivated by a complaint from citizens.
The captured person, a 23-year-old man identified as “Juancho,” allegedly attacked his former partner on several occasions, both physically and verbally. After being arrested, he was presented before a guarantee control judge, who determined his confinement in a prison while the investigations progress.

Lieutenant Colonel Héctor Jairo Betancourt Rojas, of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, highlighted the importance of reporting these cases of violence. “Your National Police is willing to continue preventing any crime or action that puts the integrity of any person at risk, reporting is of utmost importance,” said Betancourt, who recalled the use of the 123 emergency line to report risk situations.
Motorbike recovered
In another isolated event, the Neiva Metropolitan Police, through the execution of different operations throughout the metropolitan jurisdiction, managed to recover a motorcycle in a forested area of the Limonar neighborhood of commune 6.
It should be noted that this motorcycle had been stolen in a sector of the commune 4 minutes before, being recovered quickly, thanks to the timely report of the victim and the use of a GPS, this allowed units from the different patrols to be deployed in search for it, reaching the exact point of its location.
The motorcycle was delivered to its owner at the facilities of the Neiva Metropolitan Police command.
