The Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) of Oaxaca de Juárez reported on the medical release of Juan Antonio “NN”attacker of the saxophonist María Elena Ríos, for health complications developed inside the Tanivet Men’s Penitentiary Center, where he was held.
Roberto Claudio Castillo RamírezUndersecretary of Prevention and Social Reintegration of the SSPC, pointed out that this measure was carried out after said penitentiary center did not have the necessary specialty to care for the suffering of the person deprived of their liberty.

Juan Antonio “NN” was transferred to a external hospital to obtain the necessary medical attention, after a series of evaluations that were carried out in compliance with the guiding axes of social reintegration.
Despite his departure from the penitentiary center, the authorities assured that Juan Antonio has the guard and custody of the State Police and his departure does not represent his freedom nor a change in precautionary measure, since the action is justified in the National Law of Criminal Execution.

“As soon as there is a medical discharge that justifies that the person can leave the hospital, will be re-admitted to the Penitentiary Center”, assured Castillo Ramírez.
