They were experimental vaccines, it was a business. Fico questioned covid vaccination

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico questioned the importance of vaccination against the disease covid-19 and the vaccine itself, with which many countries, including Slovakia, mainly during strong waves of the coronavirus disease, vaccinated their residents. Fico also spoke out against any strengthening of the powers of the World Health Organization in connection with any pandemic.

“I was one of those people who refused to get vaccinated and I never got vaccinated when it came to covid. They were experimental vaccines that had not been tested. There was a huge risk of causing serious health problems. It was nothing more than business as usual, ” said Fico in the meeting hall of the Slovak Parliament, where he answered questions from members of parliament.

During the strong waves of the coronavirus infection, as an opposition politician, Fico criticized the then epidemic restrictions in Slovakia and did not support vaccination against covid-19. In the EU, Slovakia was ranked among the countries with the lowest proportion of the population vaccinated against covid-19.

“I can show you several people in my area who have had serious health problems after vaccination. I can tell you three cases of people who have died after vaccination. Everyone here knows someone who has had a serious problem after vaccination. The cases are still increasing and there will be more,” Fico said in the chamber.

According to him, Slovakia must not allow its right to lead the fight against any pandemic to be taken away. Otherwise, according to him, someone from the World Health Organization could order countries how to proceed.

On Wednesday, Fico already stood up for Peter Kotlar, the government commissioner for the review of the state’s progress during the covid-19 pandemic, who has long opposed vaccination, and promised to strengthen his powers. Kotlár proposed to the government to stop the vaccination of mRNA vaccines against covid-19. In his report, Kotlar also claimed that vaccines change human DNA. His statement was rejected by Slovak scientists and, for example, some government politicians stated that they would not support such a report during a vote in the cabinet.

Kotlár also spoke out against the new pandemic convention, which the member states of the World Health Organization did not agree on this spring. The new convention should respond to some of the shortcomings that became apparent during the covid-19 pandemic.
