New Delhi: The government has announced big relief for TB (tuberculosis) patients. The amount received under Ni-Kshay Poshan Yojana has now doubled. Earlier, TB patients used to get Rs 500 every month during treatment. Now they will get Rs 1000. This decision is for all TB patients. The Union Health Ministry announced this on Monday. The ministry said that it has increased the monthly nutrition support for TB patients from Rs 500 to Rs 1000. This increase has been made under the Nikshay Nutrition Scheme. All TB patients will get the benefit of this new amount during treatment.
