“Laura Maria, I love you,” wrote Pietro Lombardi on a couple photo in 2020. With the snapshot, the musician introduced his new girlfriend to his fans: Laura Maria Rypa, a 24-year-old from Düsseldorf. Four years have passed since then. The couple is now engaged and has two sons.
Laura Maria Rypa was the first woman to turn Pietro Lombardi’s head after his separation from Sarah Engels. But the singer is not the first celebrity for the influencer. The 28-year-old, who was still working as a legal assistant at the beginning of the relationship, had already been in a relationship with a public figure – namely with ex-Schalke star Weston McKennie.
The two were a couple in 2019. At that time the footballer was still under contract with Schalke 04. Weston McKennie and Laura Maria Rypa appeared together in public every now and then and shared several couple photos on Instagram. Sometimes she sat on his lap, sometimes they posed next to each other. But then these images suddenly disappeared.
At the beginning of 2020, the then 24-year-old and her ex-boyfriend, who was two years younger, deleted all of their pictures together. Speculation quickly arose: Did the couple separate? Shortly afterwards, Laura Maria Rypa fell in love with Pietro Lombardi. The singer has never commented on his girlfriend’s former relationship, but he once wrote on Instagram: “Everyone has their past. I have mine and Laura has hers. And that’s okay.”
He continued: “This person has managed to make my dark soul happy again.” Pietro Lombardi discovered Laura Maria Rypa on TikTok and really wanted to get to know her. The two have officially been a couple since summer 2020. However, the singer and the influencer are currently making mostly negative headlines about their relationship. The 32-year-old is said to have become violent towards his fiancée.
And Weston McKennie? The American now plays for Juventus Turin – and is said to be in a relationship with the Italian supermodel Chiara Frattesi. Particularly spicy: She is the sister of Davide Frattesi, who plays for Inter Milan. Inter Milan and Juventus Turin have been considered rivals for years. But neither Weston McKennie nor Chiara Frattesi have confirmed the rumors.
