The Israeli army announced, in a statement on Monday, “the killing of its second soldier in a clash on the Lebanese border,” while the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that thousands of deaths had been recorded since the beginning of the Israeli war.

The Israeli army said, on its website, “The dead soldier was Reserve Sergeant Aviv Magen, and he was 43 years old.”

The Israeli army announced earlier today, “One soldier was killed and two were injured in a clash on the Lebanese border. With the killing of these two soldiers, the number of deaths among the ranks of the Israeli army rises to 729, whose names were allowed to be published.”

On the other hand, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced today, Monday, “at least 10 firefighters were killed in an Israeli strike on the building of the Bint Jbeil Municipalities Union.”

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced, “The number of deaths and injuries as a result of the ongoing Israeli war since September 23 has risen to 2,083 dead and 9,869 injured, including 1,212 dead and 3,427 wounded, including a large number of children and women, and more than 1.2 million displaced people.”

Today, Monday, the Israeli army issued an urgent evacuation warning to all residents in 26 villages in southern Lebanon.

In addition, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said, “Washington is doing nothing to implement the joint American, French, European, and Arab appeal, which called for an immediate ceasefire for 21 days.”

In an interview with the Lebanese newspaper Al-Jumhuriya, Berri said: “We are committed to this call in order to reach a final agreement to implement Resolution 1701,” noting that “this international statement constitutes the valid basis for ending the prolonged Israeli aggression against Lebanon.”

He stated that “Paris and London adhere to this statement – the call,” while Washington is with it in form, but in essence it does nothing to implement it and does not put serious pressure on the Israeli entity to abide by it and stop its aggression,” pointing out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears to be the one who He is putting pressure on the United States and not the other way around, taking advantage of the opportunity of the presidential elections in which Democrats and Republicans are competing to please Israel, and holding the American administration by its throats.”

He stressed that “we have no choice but to work on two paths together: continuing the resistance to prevent the enemy from occupying our land, and pursuing the diplomatic effort to implement the international plan we agreed to,” indicating that the issue of the displaced constitutes his greatest concern at this stage.

In a related context, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdel Ati affirmed, “His country’s complete rejection of violating Lebanese sovereignty and the urgent necessity of achieving a ceasefire and stopping the escalation on the part of Israel.”

In a telephone call made by Minister Abdel-Aty today with David Lammy, the United Kingdom Foreign Minister, the spokesman said in a press statement: The call “dealt with the accelerating and dangerous developments in Lebanon, as Minister Abdel-Aty stressed the danger of the Israeli ground incursion into southern Lebanon.”

The Egyptian Minister stressed “the importance of empowering the Lebanese Army to ensure Lebanon’s stability in light of the current critical stage,” stressing “the importance of implementing Security Council Resolution No. 1701 with all its elements by all parties.”
