Grândola, dark village gives the signal to the military that the Revolution is already underway. Manuel (Frédéric Pierrot) and Maia (Stefano Accorsi) are at the center of the action, but they share a secret: they both promised, when they returned from Ultramar, never to kill again. And there is someone who knows about this pact: Manuel’s wife, Antónia (Maria de Medeiros, who also directs the film), who, when reading parts of her diary, discovered this and something else – that she had been betrayed. Now, to win back his wife, Manuel will try to do his best on April 25th… The song is written by António Victorino d’Almeida, the director’s father.

Starring Charlton Heston, whose son, Fraser Clarke Heston, wrote the script, it follows two mountain explorers, the grumpy Heston and his best friend, Brian Keith, in search of a legendary valley full of beavers. Others follow westerns late films, such as Silverado, by Lawrence Kasdan, or Ride to Death, by Geoff Murphy. Debut. Since 2010, Carrie Preston has played the role of lawyer turned detective Elsbert Tascioni in the universe The Good Wife. Now, the character (and the actress who has already received an Emmy for her), who also went through The Good Fight, heads this new series, created, like the others, by the couple Robert and Michelle King. It follows Elsbeth working with the New York police to solve murder cases, which, in the style of the classic Columbo series, we know from the beginning who committed it, the only question is how the killer is caught.

Debut. It was 25 years ago that the History channel began broadcasting in Portugal. The anniversary is marked simultaneously with the fiftieth anniversary of the 25th of April. This documentary uses images and audio from countless sources, whether personal or from archives such as RTP, Reuters and Cinemateca, to tell the story of the revolution.

After the 25th of April, some of the most important photographers and filmmakers in the world were in Portugal to capture images of freedom and the entire revolutionary process. There were names like Sebastião Salgado, Glauber Rocha, Robert Kramer, Dominique Issermann, Santiago Álvarez, Pea Holmquist or Jean Gaumy. In 1999, director Sérgio Tréfaut made this documentary about these records. TVCine Edition also shows films such as O Que Podem as Palavras, Aristides de Sousa Mendes – The Consul of Bordeaux, A Uma Hora Incerta or Assalto ao Santa Maria.
